UNE Landcare in the news

It’s been a fairly exciting week in the lead up to the launch of the 10,000 Trees campaign. I am blown away by the interest from the community and am so excited to see what the day holds in store for us on Sunday.

We have been lucky enough to get an article on the front page of the UNE site (a big thank you to Jim Scanlan), and yesterday I was interviewed by ABC New England North West. Our media release was included in the Armidale Independent as well.

There is plenty of rain predicted over the next few days – fingers crossed it soaks the site and clears up before Sunday! I can’t wait to see you all there.

$18000 funding

UNE Landcare recently received more than $18000 funding from the Caring For Our Country ‘Community Action Grants’. This funding will go towards the Campus Creek Cleanout project, allowing us to replant the creek with local native plant species.
